  • Taking ownership of the critical path

  • Fabric sourcing via factories and mills

  • Organising lab dips via factories with the use of colour palettes

  • Supporting the design team with your technical knowledge

  • Progress chasing sample development with suppliers

We're working with this forward thinking, highly professional and design driven fashion co to recruit a Garment Technologist.

In this role your duties will include;-

  • Taking samples through the sealing process, providing technical knowledge around production techniques, quality and fit during the development process

  • Attending fit sessions, to explain fit issues and ensure all customer requirements are actioned.

  • Understand size specs, grading rules, garment detail and proportions.

  • Providing solutions & knowledge to improve overall garment make up

  • Continuous improvement of standards & procedures

  • Daily liaison with colleagues offshore & the UK

  • Manage inhouse and external testing of raw materials, ensuring usability and fit for purpose

  • Providing solutions & knowledge to improve overall product make up

  • Continuous improvement of standards & procedures

  • Daily liaison with colleagues offshore & the UK

  • Building strong trusted relationships with colleagues, factories & customers

  • Solid working knowledge of testing processes

  • Accessories experience (bags and headwear) is preferred though other textile based categories will be considered
