PRODUCT DEVELOPER

Join the team of this elevating sports driven licensed brand and private label apparel group - we're working on their behalf to recruit a Product Developer to focus on their special projects from design concept to final sign off, working with innovation to continually improve and enhance product.

 

Your New Role...

 

You will work closely with design and product teams to deliver high quality ranges from initial concept, through prototyping and development and sign off. This business is fast moving, so you'll need to be motivated, capable of working on your own initiative and have good attention to detail, as well as being an effective communicator. You'll enjoy making things happen!

 

Your Responsibilities...

 

  • Once the range has been finalised, you'll work hand in hand with design to start development in line with the critical path, working closely with factories.

  • You'll create accurate size charts for each product, following relevant trends in fit, ensuring any legal requirements are met.

  • Tracking samples for fit, photography and sign off, you'll also order any components required.

  • You'll check and approve lab dips from suppliers and manage relevant testing on fabrics, trims and made up garments. You'll also check logo strike offs for prints and embroideries.

  • Factory sample approvals with detailed comments including amendments.

  • Ensuring internal and external stakeholders are kept up to date with the process throughout.

 

 

About You...

 

  • You'll have mid level experience gained within either a technical design, garment technologist or PD role for apparel.

  • You'll be ideally educated to degree level in a fashion related subject.

  • You'll have advanced IT literacy - MS packages including Excel + Adobe CC.

  • You'll enjoy collaborating and working as part of a friendly, dynamic, knowledgeable, supportive team culture.

GARMENT TECHNOLOGIST

We're looking for an accurate and skilled Garment Technologist to join the Technical team of this quality driven brand house. 

​

Central to ensuring products meet the highest standards of fit, quality and performance, from first sample through to production, you will work closely with design, buyers and your supply base to create the well engineered garment ranges the brands are known for.  

​

Your New Role ;

​

  • You'll create size specifications, measure and inspect garment samples for fit and quality, managing the sealing process, following the product through the critical path from first proto sample to the final shipment samples.

  • Manage and interpret testing and AQL reports.

  • Liaise with buyers and merchandisers re specs, fabrics, trims and critical path issues.

  • Assist in setting up and managing new procedures for recording factory performance and efficiency as well as updating sampling and QA procedures.   

  • Comment on all samples, ensure all styles are fitted and sealed in line with critical dates.

  • Ensure compliance with fibre composition, labelling regulations, product safety and REACH legislation: assessing risk and managing relevant testing.

  • ​Work with QC related issues on both a supplier and consumer point of view

​

About You...

 

  • You'll possess a qualification in Clothing Technology or similar, ideally to degree standard.

  • Enjoy team work across various departments and have a good work ethic.

  • Organised and able to prioritise your workload, you'll also have good attention to detail.

  • You'll have an understanding of fabrics, including testing, understand fitting and fit issues and have a knowledge of grading and grade rules.

  • This is a mid level opportunity, however applications are invited from fashion / clothing graduates with strong technical skills and knowledge who are keen to pursue a career in garment technology.

This textile based business, with four established brands distribute throughout Europe and as a result of continued success they seek a Merchandiser to support the delivery of commercially successful collections. You’ll manage the product development process from design handover to bulk production, ensuring timelines, quality, cost, and compliance standards are met.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the development critical path through to product launch

  • Coordinate samples, approvals, testing, and production milestones

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and manage communication

  • Maintain accurate product data, pricing, and specifications

  • Monitor costs and support commercially viable solutions

  • Collaborate with Design, Sourcing, QC, and Marketing teams

  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure on-time delivery

 

About You

 

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in merchandising, product development, and / or sourcing

  • Strong knowledge of critical paths, supplier management, and product specs

  • Highly organised, commercially aware, and detail-focused

  • Confident communicator with strong Excel and MS Office skills

  • Experience with ERP systems; Illustrator/AI knowledge beneficial

  • Willing to travel overseas when required

 

Desirable

 

  • Experience in apparel or textile based products

  • Knowledge of sustainable materials and compliance processes

We're working with a super exciting fashion apparel brand group in their quest to hire an experienced Import / Wholesale Merchandiser .... a fast pace role in a growing department whereby no two days are the same!

 

Joining their team as a Merchandiser, your new role will include;-

 

  • The effective management of the critical in path, progress chasing orders and ensuring timely deliveries

 

  • Working with your co merchandisers, design and technical teams on lab dip, strike off and size spec approvals

 

  • Daily liaison with off shore sources, predominantly in the Far East

 

  • Regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, keeping them updated from order placement through to bulk production and final delivery

 

You'll be ideal for this role if you;-

 

  • Have a fluid career to date, gained in supply or branded fashion in an import or wholesale merch role in the UK

 

  • You also have excellent organisational, communication and IT skills (inc Excel proficiency)

 

  • You'll be an effective problem solver, enjoy working at pace, have a great eye for detail and take satisfaction in getting the job done!
