GARMENT TECHNOLOGIST - WOMENSWEAR

We have a fantastic new garment technical opportunity with a well established fashion co.

​

Forward thinking and highly professional we're looking to recruit Garment Technologist / QA on their behalf.

​

Working on a mix of contract and brand ranges, in this role your duties will include;-

​

  • Taking samples through the sealing process, providing technical knowledge around production techniques, quality and fit during the development process

  • Attending fit sessions, to explain fit issues and ensure all customer requirements are actioned.

  • Creating size charts, you'll understand grading rules, garment detail and proportions.

  • Providing solutions & knowledge to improve overall garment make up

  • Continuous improvement of standards & procedures

  • Daily liaison with colleagues offshore & the UK

  • Building strong trusting relationships with colleagues, factories & customers

  • You'll have solid working knowledge of the fit process

  • Womenswear multi product experience is essential

Your New Role...


You will be a crucial part of their supply chain management, ensuring the seamless importation of goods. You will work closely with offshore suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to manage the import process, ensuring timely delivery.

Your Responsibilities...

 

  • Order Management - Coordinate and manage the importation of goods, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

  • Logistics Coordination - Work closely with logistics providers to ensure efficient transportation and delivery of goods.

  • Documentation and Compliance - Ensure all import documentation is accurate and compliant with international trade regulations.

  • Cost Management - Monitor and manage import costs, seeking opportunities to optimize expenses and improve efficiency.


About You...

 

  • You will have proven experience in logistics, supply chain and shipping , ideally gained within the fashion industry.

  • Understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage volume orders, multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

We seek a highly organised Merchandiser on behalf of this leading fashion co, committed to delivering well designed, high quality apparel to their customers.... pro active with a good attention to detail, you will thrive on the challenge of being part of a busy, fast moving department, working in partnership with an impressive customer portfolio of major high street and online retailers.

As Merchandiser with this business, your role will include...

​

  • Order Management - ensuring accurate production timeline and delivery schedules.

  • Quality Control - lab dip, strike off and size spec approvals.

  • Far East Supplier Liaison - price negotiations with factories, building and maintaining strong relationships, all the while monitoring performance.

  • Compliance - you'll ensure documentation is accurate and meets regulations.

  • Communication & Collaboration - regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, keeping them updated from order placement through to bulk production and final delivery.

​

About You...

​

  • You'll have excellent organisational, communication and IT skills (Excel and in house systems) 

  • You will be an experienced Import Merchandiser with a background in supply of fashion (or a similar product), minimum two years experience in a stand alone Merchandiser role.

  • Attention to Detail - with a commitment to maintaining high quality standards to meet customer needs.

  • Problem Solving - able to think on your feet and minimise risk

  • Organisational Skills - able to multi task, you'll be an effective time manager.

IMPORT / WHOLESALE MERCHANDISER

MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE

We're working with a super exciting fashion apparel brand group in their quest to hire an experienced Import / Wholesale Merchandiser .... a fast pace role in a growing department whereby no two days are the same!

 

Joining their team as a Merchandiser, your new role will include;-

 

  • The effective management of the critical in path, progress chasing orders and ensuring timely deliveries

 

  • Working with your co merchandisers, design and technical teams on lab dip, strike off and size spec approvals

 

  • Daily liaison with off shore sources, predominantly in the Far East

 

  • Regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, keeping them updated from order placement through to bulk production and final delivery

 

You'll be ideal for this role if you;-

 

  • Have a fluid career to date, gained in supply or branded fashion in an import or wholesale merch role in the UK

 

  • You also have excellent organisational, communication and IT skills (inc Excel proficiency)

 

  • You'll be an effective problem solver, enjoy working at pace, have a great eye for detail and take satisfaction in getting the job done!

No hybrid working - full time studio based - but they do have daily flexible working and an early finish on a Friday!
