merchandiser / demand planner - apparel

As a result of ongoing success and expansion, we seek a Merchandiser / Demand Planner on behalf of this established creator and producer of apparel and accessories, someone who is a logical, problem solver who can use data to highlight trends and help manage their global stock footprint as effectively as possible. 

 

Your role will involve;-

 

Stock production and movement forecasting across all brands with an increased focus on avoiding out of stocks and improving efficiency. This includes:

 

  • Forecasting production in China;

  • Managing timelines on different business peaks/production timelines; and

  • Assessing frequency of orders to minimise out of stocks but also minimise total stock investment and recurring storage bills.

 

Amazon replenishment calculations (across all brands), including:

 

  • Considering volumes for direct Amazon fulfilment from China;

  • Weekly replenishment with a balance of maintaining availability within the warehousing constraints provided by Amazon; and

  • Price management for over/under stocks.

  • Identifying and assessing out of lost sales

  • Assessing new product development performance and updating launch stock parameters.

 

 About you;-

 

  • You'll have a minimum of three years' experience in a Head Office merch function, ideally in apparel or a similar category

  • You will love solving complicated problems

  • Your numeracy skills will be of a good level

  • You will be an advanced excel user

  • Commercially aware

  • You will have the ability to organise data, generate insights and communicate findings

  • Naturally accurate with a high level of attention to detail

  • Personable and able to work across different teams and functions

  • Managing sample critical path for sample development, co -ordinating fabrics and trims etc. 

  • On order confirmation, manage a detailed handover to merchandisers with all product information and price information
